Since 2015 we have collaborated to develop common undergraduate liberal arts education programs and have held an annual student conference to promote mutual understanding among talented students of Japan, China, Korea and Singapore.
Yuanpei College at Peking University and the College of Liberal Studies at Seoul National University have collaborated closely for the past five years to develop a common undergraduate liberal arts education program. With the insight gained from the previous collaborations and a new partnership with Rikkyo University and National University of Singapore, the four colleges will design a common curriculum and a joint major (or sub-major or minor) program to help students develop their expertise and build a human network with talented students of other Asian countries.
The main objective of “the Asian Consortium for Excellence in Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Education (the ACE)” is to help students from China, Japan, Korea, and Singapore become experts and scholars of the next generation in diverse fields of studies. To achieve this goal, we propose to develop a common curriculum and co-operate a joint major (or sub-major or minor) program among Yuanpei College at Peking University, Rikkyo University, the College of Liberal Studies at Seoul National University, and the University Scholars Programme at National University of Singapore.
